Alma 15 – 16
Alma understood that anyone can say they believe in Christ that is why he clearly asked that Zeezrom be healed according to his faith. I would say that the abruptness of the healing says much about the power of God and about the strength of the faith of Zeezrom.

We are told that Amulek forsook his wealth. We should not forget that all those who are cast out did likewise. After being freed from prison he had no chance to retrieve any property and any of his household who would have supported him would have already been cast out or killed.

The people called Ammonihah “Desolation of Nehors”in order to serve as a reminder and a deterrent against future generations following their example (not that it worked very well).

I see here all the core elements of the message of Samuel the Lamanite 76 years before he came. I’m sure Samuel added some details but the core of his message wasn’t new – the core being that Christ would be born in a foreign land and would there offer an atoning sacrifice and that after he was killed he would be resurrected and shoe himself in their land.
