I had never considered before that both of the first two cities that Helaman reclaimed were reclaimed because the Lamanite have up hope of maintaining them and abandoned them rather than by force of arms in battle. That serves as a reminder that those who address on the side of wickedness are often not as strongly committed to the task as we might assume.
