Ether 15
While his opportunity for repentance had passed I have to conclude that Coriantumr was sincere in his desire to preserve his people based on the fact that he volunteered to give up the kingdom. I wonder if he even considered giving up his life to preserve the people. Of course both armies are so hardened and bloodthirsty by now that there was no way to stop them from fighting. Even if Coriantumr could have allowed himself to be killed Shiz would have spent the remainder of his life fighting against insurrections until the last man had been killed.

I’ll bet that when Coriantumr sent the second epistle Shiz didn’t even bother to respond.

Hire awful for Ether to have to stay close enough to this carnage to be able to count the men and then to have to go witness the final result after Shiz was slain.
