Isn’t it just the way of the adversary to convince people, often good people, to elevate tradition while minimizing doctrine. We have to be very careful to accurately distinguish between the two.
Christ wanted to heal the Greek girl but He also wanted to test her mother’s faith and teach a lesson to those who were near. Her determination to persist and to not be offended by the manner of His initial refusal is a great example for all.
