John never mentions Peter waking on the water.
This idea of eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus must have been confusing until he explained the sacrament but those who truly followed Him should have felt the Asians of the Spirit that they would come to understand it in time. It was after this teaching that many who had been following Jesus because of the miracles abandoned Him because He sounded crazy to them.
