I have been working on making my employment a more positive force in my life for some time (that’s much easier to do here at Questar than some places I’ve worked) which is why I was listening to this talk but I would really like to capture these
- Think of three new things to be grateful for each day
- teaches your brain to scan for the positive rather than the negative
- Write about one postive experience from the last 24 hours
- allows you to relive that positive experience
- Exercise
- teaches your brain that your behavior matters
- Meditation
- allows the brain to shed the cultural pace of hyperactivity
- strengthens the ability to focus
- Random Act of Kindness
- Write one email to thank or praise someone in your support network.
Taking 2 minutes each day to do these things every day for 3 weeks will rewire the brain to be more optimistic. This results in being more productive and resilient.
