Romans 1
I like the description of a apostle as being “separated unto the gospel of God.” That is the reason that we use church funds to provide for the apostles when needed. (I don’t know if they give whatever they have to the church and then the church pays for their needs or whether they live off of their own assets as much as possible and the church pays if their assets prove insufficient for their needs. I personally suspect the former.) They are too focus solely on the gospel without being burdened with their own financial situation. (They deal with the financial situation of the church frequently anyway which is much more complex.)

It sounds like Paul wrote his epistle to the Romans before he went to Rome.

This statement that men had changed the truth into a lie and worshipped the creature rather than the Creator is still true today—not all men of course but many.

The statements about men leaving the natural use of the women and burning in their lust for each other is clearly a condemnation of homosexual activity and the spirit confirms that it is true today. If our society weren’t so steeped in carnal, lustful, sensual messages today we would have much lower rates of homosexuality. Instead we have pervasive messages that invite people to tune into their sexual urges and identify themselves by those urges. We could that message with the message that urges towards people of the same gender are just as natural as urges for those of the opposite gender and widespread encouragement to identify as gay or bisexual and The result is that rather than taming their impulsed they become subject to them. I am convinced that in a society where all dextral activity were praised and monogamy entirely abandoned, almost all people would come to identify themselves as bisexual.
