Imagine that someone has decided to write a book about your life, just up to this point. What would the cover blurb say? Be honest here. Is it kind of boring? Are you happy with it? Now imagine what you’d like that blurb to say at the end of your life. What changes need to made for that to happen?
I have no idea what the cover blurb would say at this point. I suspect it would be something to the effect that life has been stop and go for me, that my life showed signs of promise our potential but little delivery on that promise except for my willingness to stand out from the conventions of society around me as evidenced by my eight children and the fact that I started my family long before I finished my college degree.
At the end of my life I would like a blurb that says I was a man of conviction who lived true to my beliefs regardless of The reactions of those around me. In order to make that happen I need to become more steady in my life (especially financially) so that my beliefs and convictions have more opportunity to be noticed. If nobody knows what I believe there is no reason for them to conclude that I lived according to my personal beliefs.
