I’d never thought of this before but I wonder how much of the wickedness within our nation is a result of the long running prosperity that we have been blessed with. It was almost uninterrupted between 1945 and 2008. (There were brief blips of very temporary recessions and the gas shortages of the 1970’s but even the 9/11 attacks failed to have any real lasting impact on our economic prosperity.)
