I wish we knew more about Simeon. He was faithful enough to receive a promise that he would see the David his lifetime. I find his prophecy when he saw the infant Jesus that the child was set for the fall (and rising again) of many in Israel to be very interesting. W think of His mission being too save and raise up many but part of that mission requires cutting some down temporarily and sometimes even permanently (like some Pharisees).
Whether or live are remarkable or not, we can receive promises from the Lord that will bolster our faith and bring us comfort.
