Pahoran

Pahoran had a very challenging reign as chief judge. At the outset he had the king-men pushing for him to alter the law (likely because they saw an opportunity with the death of the original chief judge) then he had must of a decade of war where he had to try to supply two armies and contend with further dissensions from king-men. Through all of that he was faithful.

Towards the end of the war he was falsely accused by his faithful chief captain of being derelict in his duties when the truth was that dissenters has driven him from the capital city. Pahoran showed real greatness of heart by not simply refusing to take offense at the false accusation but to praise Moroni for his goodness while explaining the truth of his difficulties.

Like Moroni and Teancum, Pahoran was a man sited for the day in which he lived. Men who receive tutelage from the Spirit will always be adapted to the needs of their time.
