My new T-Bird
We took Bex to Southern Utah University today and got her moved into her apartment. Thankfully the car worked both ways and we got home safe. Now I need to get the van back so I can have the guys at the shop figure out why it doesn’t start like it used to.

One thing of value
During the family call today as we were talking about Bex leaving for college Savannah encouraged Bex to make use of the family recipe site. It made me feel good that I had provided at least one thing that continues to prove valuable after leaving home.

Daddy daughter
Tonight is the Daddy Daughter campout this year and I’m glad that Bex decided to come before she leaves for college on Monday. We’ve had a good time talking this evening while Emma was playing with friends around the campground.

This one reason is enough
I watched Kamala Harris’s acceptance speech at the DNC. Her declaration of foreign policy priorities alone would be reason to vote for her even if I didn’t like any of her domestic priorities (and I do like several of them). School starts again
I was concerned this morning when I discovered that Alex had classes during first period. We had expected him to be able to go into school late. I was pleasantly surprised when he not only got himself out to school on time but he also didn’t seem particularly concerned about having those morning classes. Overall…

Dodged a bullet
I expected that I would need to take my car into the shop as soon as the van was completed but this afternoon the “Engine power is reduced” message and indicator disappeared. Combined with the fact that it had felt like it was driving normal after we put gas in it I think it finally…
