Good news and bad news
The first news we got from Vantage Point this morning was the Ezra had torn apart his room and even used a rock to destroy the camera in the room. At that point they weren’t even certain if he would cooperate enough to be able to remain. Thankfully in the afternoon the therapist called after…

And now Ezra
Today just before I arrived home Bex called to tell me that Ezra had beat up Noah again. Bex informed us that she planned to call the police next time. I agreed with her although I felt that me calling the police after the fact when I wasn’t even there during the assault didn’t make…

I broke
This morning while trying to put a roast on to cook I finally couldn’t push myself to do more of trying to hold things together when I have no help in maintaining the basic livability of the household. I simply put the lid on the rust and walked away from the unusable kitchen. I spent…

A day and a half
Today was exhausting in a good way. We had a nice morning at the campsite including cleaning everything up by 9am. I had 5000 steps by 7:30 as I took the time to look all around Spanish Fork River Park while everyone was still sleeping. After we came home I went to get a lawnmower…

Late night testimony
I stayed up late after my journaling last night because Bex came in and we got talking about her visit with Noelle. We ended up talking about patriarchal blessings and my bearing testimony. Happily although I went to bed after 1AM I was able to be fairly rested without sleeping in too much. I got…

A new tool
I spent a good deal of time today configuring the router to limit what the kids could access on their computers. The breakthrough was discovering that they need to connect directly to the router WiFi and not through the Google mesh WiFi. Now we’ll just have to see how effective this is.

Keeping honest people honest
Once again I discover that the kids have circumvented the guardrails of the Internet. They discovered that they can go see whatever they want by using proxy servers to bypass the restrictions I have in place on our network. It looks like tomorrow I will have to take time to recognize the router and make…

Teacher council for parents
Today in Sunday School Brother Tate demonstrated an example of how a teacher council for parents would begin if it were based on the question “how do we deal with or respond to children who choose to step away from the church?” He wasn’t trying to do a teacher council but his lesson was based…
