Ready but not prepared
Laura is ready to be done living away but we still need to get a few things in order before a reunification is likely to be really successful. She’s sleeping at her house tonight but wishes she was here. I’ve determined to get our room cleaned up and the king sized bed available for when…

Overnight visit
Laura had a rough day today. She can to visit this morning and made the mistake of focusing her thoughts on finding a nanny then compounded that by calling Katie Harmer. I didn’t help when I talked about issues with Isaac and Alyssa – issues where I feel hopeful but she ends up feeling hopeless.…

Each small escape
I don’t know whether to be thrilled it disappointed by each narrowly avoided disaster. The last was Isaac’s team avoiding a loss by one last second goal. It should have been an easy win but to often they had mental mistakes, and even worse, widespread incidence of taking mental brakes on both offence and defence.…

Rent question
Laura asked tonight when we should target her getting home. If she wants to come home in the middle of May we don’t need to pay any more rent but if she wants to stay until school is out well need to pay more. I don’t yet know the best answer to that but I…

Nanny transition
In the midst of a busy day Stephanie pulled me aside and told me that she couldn’t see herself fitting with the changes that have been taking place in the home this week. She felt a new nanny would be better able to integrate into the new scheme and gave me her two week notice.…
