The women of Samson
I knew that Delilah want good for Samson not I had forgotten that the wife of his youth also aligned herself with his enemies. Samson was apparently skilled at attaching himself to women who did not seek to be aligned with him.

Only one generation
I wonder how much of it was because the children of Israel did not drive all the Canaanites out of the land that they turned so rapidly to serving other gods as soon as the generation of Joshua died and after the death of each successive judge who led them truly.

Choose you this day
I never realized before that Joshua’s “choose you this day whom ye will serve, but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord,” came at the end of his life. I had always thought it was something he says soon after they crossed Jordan, early in his days of leadership.
