In that day…
The day has yet to come when the words of the sealed book shall be read upon the housetops, revealed by means that will be seen miraculous even in our day. Those who wait upon the Lord will not be ashamed, including those with righteous intentions who erred in spirit. I’m that day they shall…

Having seen it all
It is helpful to remember when reading this prophecy from Nephi that he had already seen the whole history of his people on vision. He knew what they would experience and why.

The right way
The right way is to believe in Christ. I am reminded of the lessons of the temple: first we commit to follow and obey, then we commit to sacrifice what is requested (primarily a broken heart and a contrite spirit) and then we are prepared to live according to the gospel of Christ by placing…

A better, higher way
The battle of the warrior is with confused nose and garments rolled in blood. Even when you win these battles waged in man’s way some of your people are hurt or killed. Contact that with the Lord’s way which is like a consuming fire, none of your enemies escapes and none of your men are…

Fit for the kingdom
I listen to the three interactions here: one says “I will follow wherever” and is told “the Son of Man hath not where to lay His head”; another is called to “follow me” and told to not even bury his dead father first; a third offers to follow but only after saying farewell to family…
