Out of the treasure of his heart
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh Luke 6:45

He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good.
It just occurred to me how much God does not judge men even though judgement is His. In the basic necessities of life He generally provides such that there is enough and to spare of all things which are necessary for the life of man. Bound to heaven
We can work toward having the kind of certainty displayed here of being treated to heaven so that the opinions of man and the existence if opposition are not deterrents to our righteousness but do they make us question our direction. “God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid.”

How does this apply?

God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
When John says that have not the Spirit by measure to Christ it means that Christ received unlimited access to the spirit. When Christ says “say not there are yet four months and then cometh the harvest” we can infer that they were about for months before that year’s harvest at the time. It is…

In the days of my greatest sorrow
I have wondered why Lehi would tell Joseph that he was born in the days of his (Lehi’s) greatest sorrow. A possibility I had never considered before is that he was calling Joseph a light in the trying days.
