Daniel
I’m surprised at how little the Bible Dictionary had to say about Daniel. As a youth he was asking those captured by the Babylonians and one of those selected to be raised in the royal household. Even as a youth he was bold enough to defy the kings instructions in order to live as he…

Josiah
After a father and grandfather who were extremely wicked it is surprising to find that Josiah tried diligently to be righteous – especially considering that he was made king at 8 years old. He reformed Israel during his 31 year reign and restored their worship of the God of Abraham.

Solomon
Solomon was taught to respect and follow the commandments of the Lord. When he became king he was obviously in the right spirit. 2 Chronicles 31 – 32 I am really coming to appreciate the history here as I see the children of Israel going through the same cycles of righteousness and wickedness as the Nephites and Jaredites did. Hezekiah is doing well at being righteous. I hope that he continues to do so. I did not realize…

2 Chronicles 30 Hezekiah invited all the children of Israel, not just the people of his kingdom, to come observe the Passover. Most outside his kingdom scoffed and mocked at the invitation but some did answer the invitation. I’m sure that the unanimous acceptance in Judah was partly due to the fact that it was…
