Long life
I never considered the implications of the fact that Amos kept the records for 84 years. If he kept them from the time he was 16 that would mean he lived 100 years. (I picked that age to get the round number.) That suggests very long lifespans during this period of righteousness.

Different Nephis
I have always felt that Nephi who kept the record in 4th Nephi was not the same as Nephi the chief disciple of Christ but I also felt that I couldn’t prove it. Today I realized the proof. Neigh the record keeper died decades after the last of the original disciples we said to have…

Gadiantons after Christ
I don’t think I’ll ever understand why the people would build up the secret society of Gadianton after they had lives for two generations of complete peace. The only clue is that they had knowingly rejected Christ so there was no line that wouldn’t be willing to cross.

Amos, Amos II, and Ammaron
The first Amos, the son of Nephi, saw peace and prosperity for his whole life. Amos II and Ammaron saw the people reject that righteousness and follow after pride. By the time Ammaron died it wasn’t safe to keep the plates openly and the best person to give them to was a ten year old…

Nephi III
The soon of the first Nephite disciple to be called was most likely given charge of the records a soon a big father had finished making any corrections to his record after the visit of the Savior. There have been times when I wondered of they were the same man. The wording is “Nephi the…
