How could about know that none in these Lamanite converts would be lost? He knew because they were converted to Christ rather than being converted to a miracle or covered to a missionary.

Missionaries rejoicing
When the sons of Mosiah rejoiced, it wasn’t for their success as much as it was for setting so many of their brethren living righteously. Their joy was that their brethren were coming to God. Had that happened without their involvement they would still have celebrated it.

We are told that the Anti-Nephi-Lehies meet to counsel together but it appears that they were already united in their desire to rely on God rather than defend themselves.

Paving the way
The wickedness of the Amalakites and Amulonites set the tone so that the Lamanites who lived near them didn’t accept the preaching if the sons of Mosiah. In like manner, the correspondence of the Anti-Nephi-Lehies becoming friendly with the Nephites paved the way for them later to be given protection by the Nephites.

Prepared vs unprepared
The king was prepared to hear the words if Aaron – which Aaron was thrilled to discover – but Aaron knew by experience how dangerous the Lamanites could be who weren’t ready to receive the gospel.

The king will seek thy life
About was warned that the king of the Lamanites would seek his life if he went up to the land of Nephi and then instructed to go to Middoni. It is interesting then that on the road to Middoni he met the king and the king did seek his life. I wonder if that warning…

What could overpower Ammon?
Considering how powerful the servants of Lamoni had seen that Ammon was, it must have been frightening or bewildering to find that Ammon had been overcome by done power. It’s no wonder they fell at the sight.

Expectations
Ammon went about his work as if not unusual had happened but he must have considered the possibility that the story would reach Lamoni. Lamoni was afraid if Ammon because he didn’t know what to expect.
