    It is interesting to see how much the Lamanites were converted in large groups rather than as individuals.

    In theory the king of the Lamanites commanded a large civilization that virtually surrounded the Nephites. Functionally he likely had very little influence over the mood idle Lamanites who lived in the borders of the seashore.
