Seek ye the Lord
While it is easy to seek the city of the Lord (Jerusalem, Salt Lake City, Mecca – take your pick) or to seek the House of the Lord, or even the prophet of the Lord it is critical that we not seek the location or the servant at the expense of seeking the Lord Himself.

No exceptions on judgment
I notice that the covenant martins are just as much subject to judgment as the non-covenant nations. The difference is that they can earn their punishments for not keeping the covenant while other nations aren’t under that particular condemnation. In other words the covenant martins are held to a higher standard.

Amos
Amos seems to have been a man of humble origin. He was from the south kingdom but preached in the north London some years before Isaiah. His message is timeless but not spectacular so nobody seems to spend much time on his words.

Amps 4 – 5 The Lord tried numerous afflictions to have the people return to Him but they wouldn’t turn to Him. apparently the purple worshipped the Lord in word, in ritual, and in song but would not live in righteousness.
