Overwhelming
I wonder at what point Joseph Smith found it overwhelming to have the keys off each dispensation given into his care. Was it as the visions opened it did the weight of what he was entrusted with hit him at some later point?

Pray for your enemies
I never noticed before the petition on behalf of the mob in Missouri who had driven the saints out of Jackson County. It is interesting that they prayed for them to have peace and come to repentance if repentance was possible

A prophetic request
In the dedication of the Kirkland temple we find this request: We ask thee…that no combination of wickedness shall have power to rise up and prevail over thy people upon whom thy name shall be put in this house. We know the wicked combinations will abound in our day. I love the idea of having…

Unto the Gentiles first and also unto the Jews
This phrase struck me as never before. Bare with patience
Somehow I never paid close attention to this detailed description of what baring afflictions with patience looks like. We are to forgive freely three trespasses with increasing blessings promised if we do so. After that we are allowed to use our judgement in how we respond to continued offenses. On the other hand, if we…

This is Zion
I love the promises to those who are pure in heart, that they shall blossom as a very fruitful bough, and that they shall be able to rejoice.

Build me a house
The Lord was serious enough about having a house built where he cousins endow His people that He gave multiple revelations calling on the people to build it.
