Divine design
Sometimes I forget that the three witnesses to the Book of Mormon weren’t chosen by Joseph Smith nor did he show them the record. Also, when Moroni records that Joseph can show the record to those who help bring forth the work that is separate from the promise that unto 3 they will be shown…

Gospel in 10 seconds
I have often noticed places in the scriptures where the gospel of Jesus Christ (or the gospel of repentance) is encapsulated in 1 or 2 verses. I noticed one of those instances in Ether 4 and have decided to start tagging them as Gospel in 10 seconds. Basically off the top of my head I…

The vision of all things
I am finally understanding the book of Revelation because I have been filtering it through the clarity of Nephi’s vision. Now if I were to receive the record of the brother of Jared I would finally be able to understand what he recorded from his vision.

Coriantumr saved

(I have to think that with his anger and desire for revenge Shiz would have finished Coriantumr off rather than simply expecting him to die from his wounds if he thought Coriantumr was not…

No order but war
The Jaredites descended to a state of total chaos with each man left to defend what he could. The only semblance of order was as they flocked to competing armies

Rethinking the timing
It seems clear to me that Jerusalem will not be redeemed and made a holy city again until Christ comes to reign. Likewise, the city of New Jerusalem will not be built up to the remnant of the seed of Joseph in this hemisphere until the same time period. I have always thought of it…
