I don’t even know what to say about today. I sent in my entry for “American’s Next Great Pundit” and managed my work. I was done by early afternoon and the whole family went out shopping at DI and browsing at Brooks (a great fabric store – Laura’s new favorite hangout). We ran a bunch…

Today was a pretty good day. Laura was up early and she and I had a very nice discussion about the doctrine of gathering that President Taylor is focusing on. Laura went back to bed after breakfast and I got ready for work and prepared the house for the possibility of snow – that made…

It’s amazing how much better I felt today than yesterday. I woke up early but was fairly refreshed. My nose has still been running pretty consistently, but my head has not been hurting. I think my nostrils are healing from all the nose-wiping of yesterday, but I have been wiping enough that while they are…

I can tell that I have some of the sickness that Laura is feeling and that everyone else has had to varying degrees. That’s not a fun thought as I am covering for Scott this week. We got a slow start today and I was the only one to go to Sacrament meeting for our…

Today was a very full day. I was up at 4:45 easily after falling asleep early last night. I was out the door by 6:35 and at work by 7:00 am. That was good because I had to leave soon afternoon to get to Savannah’s class for her book presentation. Unfortunately the presentation was canceled…

I woke up this morning to find an email from Mom asking if we wanted to come to Thanksgiving dinner. I responded that this year would not work out for us (it’s the Gibbons’ year). Mom’s email was fine but she actually asked in a way that essentially said less about Thanksgiving and more about…

Bill had his car stolen this morning out of his garage (around 3 AM). That was exciting news. Luckily his insurance should replace the car since it is less than a year old if they are unable to recover it. For myself – I did some really well received writing on the health care issue…

Life is interesting in the way you can know how things should be and yet despite your best efforts it does not always cooperate. Three examples:One, the kids were not very cooperative today with chores etc. probably because they knew that Marsha was coming to visit. Two – although it might not have been fully…
