Immediate obedience
Nephi wasted no time in crying repentance until the people when the Lord called him to do so. This was confirmation of why he had been entrusted with the power to seal.
-
Blessing and calling
Nephi was blessed because he had already demonstrates the sacrifice of his life aka he had given his life to the service of the Lord. With that great blessing he was given a calling to deliver a message that would not generally be well received.

Reluctant conversation
The five who ran to the judgement seat weren’t looking to prove Nephi right but they didn’t fight the evidence before them when they saw the chief judge murdered.
-
Spoiler alert
I wonder if any of the judges listening angrily to Nephi knew anything of the plot to kill the chief judge which he prophesied. Nephi said right at the beginning that the murderer was the brother of the chief judge.

Comes the audience
I can’t decide if Nephi would remove that the people would stop to listen to him or if it was a source of sorrow that they should marvel at his prayer.

Secret combinations
The secret combinations such as Gadianton’s robbers and murderers sounds exactly like the violent gangs we have today. Changing hearts
Nephi and Lehi accomplished what Moronihah and his armies had no hope of doing. They did so by changing the hearts of those who had been their enemies.

Worn out
Nephi was tired of fighting for righteousness in the judgement seat with a people who had no desire for righteousness. I wonder if he selected Cezoram or if Cezoram was chosen by the voice of wickedness that was prevalent among the people.

Wickedness is self defeating
No matter how much we may try to rationalize or explain in secular terms, the fact is that the nature of wickedness inherantly contains the seeds of failure either through pride, selfishness, short-sightedness, corruption, animosity, or depravity

Planning ahead
I feel confident that Gadianton planned in advance, with everyone but Kishkumen, to flee in the event that Kishkumen was detained or killed. He might have finalized some details while Kishkumen was out but the basic plan was in place beforehand and Kishkumen was likely unaware of it.
