Isaiah 56 – 57 We should treat gay people in the church (specifically meaning those who don’t feel able to marry but who choose to live the gospel standards) the way the Lord says Israel should treat eunuchs. They should feel that they have a legitimate place to occupy within the church. Not a second…

Isaiah 54 – 55 I never realized that Isaiah offered the call to come buy and eat without money and without price. That is my favorite phrase in the gospel. Notice that it is not without effort or sacrifice, only without money. Chapter 55 was revelation meant to comfort Isaiah when he would be discouraged.

Isaiah 43 I AM—there is no more complete description of deity or of truth. It is a simple statement of fact which brooks no argument or debate.

Isaiah 42 “He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgement in the earth.” I love that Christ shall not be discouraged. Considering the scope of His assignment there would be plenty to get discouraged about at times. I will seek to not be discouraged in my small sphere.

I like the kind of God that Isaiah testifies of. He is powerful and caring to his chosen people. In fact, He is powerful and caring to all people, it’s just that there is less good that he can do for those who do not know Him.
