Isaiah 21 – 22 Isaiah tells Israel that while they are under siege in Jerusalem they have made all the mortal preparations to fortify their city but they have not looked to the Lord for help. I think I am like that despite my efforts to be faithful and obedient.

Isaiah 19 – 20 The land of Judah being a terror to Egypt has definitely had a modern fulfillment. This prophesies of a time when Egypt, Israel, and Assyria (northern Iraq) shall all serve the Lord together. What a day that would be.

Isaiah 17 – 18 It is interesting that the Lord promises that even as the prosperity is removed from Israel there shall yet be fruit remaining—Israel shall not be left utterly desolate. I suspect this is because of their covenant heritage.

Isaiah 15 – 16 What does the prophecy against Moab have to do with Israel? Why did Isaiah prophecy the destruction of Moab? Perhaps it was to assure Israel that they should not fear Moab or that they should not seek alliance with Moab.

Isaiah 6 – 7 What is the significance of the seraphims covering (protecting) their feet? Protecting the face makes sense as it represents sight and also potentially hearing and speaking. I’m sure covering the feet is significant I just don’t know what the significance is. Perhaps it is the same significance shown in the washing…
