Fit for the kingdom
I listen to the three interactions here: one says “I will follow wherever” and is told “the Son of Man hath not where to lay His head”; another is called to “follow me” and told to not even bury his dead father first; a third offers to follow but only after saying farewell to family…

What did the Centurion think
I wonder what a Roman centurion thought of Jesus that he would expect that Jesus could command someone to be healed as easily as he (the Centurion) could command his men to run an errand. He expected that diseases would Ivey Christ as result as soldiers obeyed their officers.

Into her heart

Two aborted deaths
It had only been about a week since Jesus has raised Lazarus from the dead. I believe Mary Magdalene was there to witness that. With that memory fairly recent, how different did it feel to see Jesus risen from the dead without someone to raise him? Did it feel at all the same or did…

Close to Christ
I would have loved to notice the invitation earlier to study the actions of Mary Magdalene and put myself in her place. The first thing I noticed was the comment “there is a direct correlation to the time we spend listening to His words and learning from Him to how close we are to Him.”…

Invitations that respect agency
Rather than always extending invitations to do something specific, consider inviting learners to think of their own ways to apply what they have learned. You could say, “How could you strengthen your relationships with your siblings?” or “Write down one spiritual impression you received and how you will act on it.” Teaching in the Savior’s…
