Jesus in the wilderness
The record of Mark leaves the impression that Jesus was in the wilderness from the time that he was baptized until after noon was imprisoned. Certainly John didn’t need to do anything more to fulfill his mission once he had baptized Jesus. It may be that the ministries of Jesus and John never overlapped.
