    Pilate inscribed the cross of Jesus calling Him king of the Jews but truly He is King of the saints because the saints recognize his authority to rule.

    Perhaps it was I’m reaction to the fact that Israel he recently rejected the Lord as their king – seeking a mortal king instead – but the psalmists seem to be intent on reminding the people that He is their true king.

    The righteous are more likely to welcome judgement, this if we are righteous we are more likely to welcome the chance to be judged by Christ. (This doesn’t hold true for those who are preparing beating themselves up because they may expect the same from the Lord.)
