A message of joy
The message of joy that the angel delivered was that Christ was coming to atone for the sins of the world. The message was detailed enough to make it clear how complete this atonement would be.

All He requireth
When Jesus says His yolk is easy and His burden is light He is referring to the “all He requireth is that ye keep His commandments for which, if ye do, He doth immediately bless you and prosper you.” That sounds like a very good deal/light burden.

Nephite General Conference
I picture or modern general conference in the description of the people going up to hear King Benjamin. they pitched their tents in families—we often gather as extended families for conference; every man in his own tent who could not fit within the walls of the temple—within the walls of the temple would be at…

Transfer of power
In reading Mosiah 1 i saw it for the first time as a transfer of power and thought about the things behind the scenes of Benjamin instructing Mosiah and instructing others to assist and obey Mosiah as they had assisted and obeyed him.

The forest of Mormon
I could just picture the first of Mormon in my mind as a thick jungle where Alma could escape detection when Noah sent his army to find Alma. Not only that but such a forested area would explain the various groups in that area who got lost over the years in their disparate journeys.

Intimidation meets boldness
The priests of Noah were accustomed to intimidating anyone they questioned. I’m sure they were surprised to find that Abinadi was not intimidated in their presence. Their surprise came well before they attempted to lay hands upon him and found that they could not do so—that must have been an even greater shock.

Why Noah?
I wonder why Zeniff choose Noah as his successor. Did he have other sons? If he had other sons did he blindly pick based on age or did he have a belief that Noah would be a good ruler? Was Noah good until Zeniff died? The truth is that we don’t know how quickly Noah…
