Patriotic Sunday School
For our 5th Sunday lesson today we had a combined adult meeting and talked about supporting our divinely inspired Constitution. I really enjoyed the lesson and they didn’t cross any lines by mentioning any candidates but I would hope that the message may stick in a few minds and make people less inclined to support…

Teacher council for parents
Today in Sunday School Brother Tate demonstrated an example of how a teacher council for parents would begin if it were based on the question “how do we deal with or respond to children who choose to step away from the church?” He wasn’t trying to do a teacher council but his lesson was based…

Grace and works
Susie Becker said that Martin Luther swung the pendulum too far from works to grace as he declared that through grace alone we are saved. She reminds that it is by grace we are saved after all we can do (her emphasis), and that God does all He can to save us after we have…

Sickles
“We no longer use sickles in the missionary work, we use combine harvesters.” (can’t remember who said it) I don’t think that’s true. We have more laborers in the field but we still use sickles and always will. Conversion is an individual process that can’t be done in a mechanized or programmed way.
